About & Endorsement

An AWARD-WINNING Healthy Snacking Program for all ages/Parents/Health Educators & Educators

  • Snack Light was created by Chantelle Goodman, mother of four and a Registered Nurse.   She adores children and has a passion to do her part to respond to the American national epidemic of juvenile-onset Type II Diabetes, childhood obesity and bullying issues.
  • Snack Light won an ‘Outstanding Health Program’ award from the Southern Medical Association Alliance.
  • It is estimated that one quarter of kids’ daily calories now come from snacks and drinks, therefore this program emphasizes snacking, rather than meals.
  • It is part of the curriculum at the Poe Center – ‘Alice Aycock Poe Center for Health Education’, in Raleigh, NC, which has served over ½ a million children since it’s opening.  Click here to view the letter of endorsement.   www.PoeHealth.org

  • The www.snacklight.org website has fun, educational and interactive activities for children, parents and for educators to share with their students.  The shopping guide is appropriate for all ages.
  • It was part of the health curriculum in 54 elementary schools in North Carolina in 2004.
  • Snack Light has also been utilized at:
